Saintelyon 2025

Here we are! Last race of the year, and by far my favorite! What not to like, in my hometown (Saint-Etienne, France; so a good chance to see the family!) and a start in the middle of the night! This is a winter race so the weather is always a bit of a lottery. I was a bit anxious about this year as the last one killed my feet. I had chosen the wronf pair of shoes and it really hurt me. But this year it went well! The weather was ok, not too cold, no rain, a bit of fog and humidity. However, it has rained quite a lot in the days/weeks leading to the race so the trail was basically made of rivers of mud. It was fun! I finished the 80k and 2.2k of climb in 10:43, including pit stops. Ranking was 2661/6609, my best ranking on the race.
